The Seminar on “Competency-Based Human Resource Management and Organizational Learning” was held at Crowne Plaza Mutiara Hotel in Kuala Lumpur from 25 to 27 December 2006. 

The Seminar began with the inauguration speeches of Secretary General of ADFIMI, Br. Nuri Birtek, and Ambassador of Republic of Turkey to Malaysia, Br. Barlas Özeren.

There were 3 resource persons of the Seminar; Br. Dr. Osman Bayraktar, General Manager, Metropolitan Consulting, Ä°stanbul-Turkey; Br. Kannan Gopalan, Executive Chairman, Top Performers, Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia; Br. Zainal Abidin Alang Kassim, Senior Consultant, SMR HR Technologies, Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia. In the Seminar, the following topics were studied:

An Overview of Competency-Based HR Management Practices, Competency-Based HR Planning, Competency-Based Employee Recruitment and Selection, Competency-Based Performance Management, Competency-Based Employee Rewards, Competency-Based Employee Development, From Human Resources to Human Relations, Various Case Studies.

There were 11 participants. 7 of which were from overseas countries and 4 were from local member institutions.
