The Seminar on “Advanced Corporate Finance and Project Finance” was held in World Park Hotel, Ä°stanbul from 20 to 23 September 2006.

Br. Dr. Selim Cafer Karatas, the Executive Director of Islamic Development Bank; Br. Mehmet Emin Özcan, ADFIMI Chairman; Br. Nuri Birtek, ADFIMI Secretary General attended the inauguration session of the Seminar.

There were four lecturers; Br. Dr. Murat Yülek, PGlobal; Br. Moazzam A. Mekan, IFC; Br. Ä°brahim Öztop, TSKB; Br. Salih Berberoğlu, Limak who all had related academic background and vast experience. In the seminar, both theoretical and practical information on corporate financing and project financing was given. In this context, detailed studies on the following subjects were made; financial projecting, project evaluation, mergers-acquisitions, privatization procedures, risk management, corporate financing, and developing countries’ experiences in project financing.

16 participants from 9 countries namely Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, and Turkey had attended the seminar
