ADFIMI mourns the demise of HE Rauf Denktaş, founder and the former president of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and shares the grief of our colleagues at the Development Bank of North Cyrus. He was the leader of the Turkish Community in Cyprus during the years of struggle against the Greek Cypriot atrocities especially during the time of Nikos Samson who overthrew the civilian government in the early 1970s and became a threat to the existence of the Turkish Community.
