PAST WORKSHOPS

IDB-ADFIMI Workshop on “Financing SMEs for Export Promotion for the Benefit of Central Asian Republics (CARs)” in Baku from 2 to 3 July 2007.

The workshop is organized jointly by IDB (Islamic development Bank) and ADFIMI in order to convey Turkey 's and Iran 's experiences to the CARs ( Azerbaijan , Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan , Tadjikistan , Turkmenistan , Uzbekistan ) on “Financing SMEs for Export Promotion”. The workshop outcome will be to generate proposals for establishing similar export financing capacities in CARs and it could even be considered as an initial stage of a medium term project.

ADFIMI members in Azerbaijan (UniBank, Azerigazbank, Rabitabank, AtaBank, Bank Respublika) will be the hosts.

IDB-ADFIMI Workshop on “Successful SMEs Practices for Arabic Speaking Member Countries”, 2-3 September 2007, Cairo , Egypt .

The workshop is organized jointly by IDB (Islamic development Bank) and ADFIMI in order to inform the Arabic Speaking Countries on successful SME development and finance practices. The workshop outcome will be to generate proposals for replicating similar SME capacities in the Arabic Speaking Countries. The workshop will provide for more meaningful proposals to be made for the capacity building in the region.

UPCOMING

IDB-ADFIMI Workshop on “Introducing ADFIMI in Africa”

The workshop will be organized jointly by IDB (Islamic development Bank) and ADFIMI in order to introduce ADFIMI to the DFIs in Sub-Saharan African Countries.

In the workshop, information on ADFIMI and on IDB's lines of finance to the region as well as needs of NDFIs in the region and capacities among ADFIMI Member Institutions to meet these needs will be explained. The outcome of the workshop is expected to match the identified needs of the DFIs in the region with these capacities available in ADFIMI Member Institutions with defined roles of ADFIMI and IDB.
